The start of this page was against uniforms not a dress code all together. Uniforms teach a person to conform to government overreach. What it's doesn't do is allow a person to make decisions based off of common morals or respect for themselves. It also, removes the responsibility of the parent for deciding if there child should leave the house with certain clothing choices. Its a parent's duty to parent the child and teach them morals and common decency. The School system is not the parent. As for bullying clothing doesn't even come close to stopping the bullying that is going on or the social construct that causes depression in young teens. My son has lost more friends than I have to drugs, bullying and depression than I have and I'm 40 years of age. These were good kids that were left behind or not noticed because our social environment doesn't allow kids to notice these things and alert adults. If we focused on more social issues in the school and not ridiculous policies that make not one bit of difference in these children's lives Im gonna be behind that. If anyone wants to challenge my experience with this matter I welcome it. All opinions on the matter are welcome as long as they are civilized.
