About Me:
My family is the average American working, middle-class family. My husband, Mikey is a Diesel Mechanic for a local farming company, and I work at the local electric and water utility provider as an Environmental Compliance Analyst. Mikey has lived in Modesto since a young child and I relocated to Modesto when we got married a decade ago. We are proud parents to three beautiful children,
and we are currently expecting our fourth child in the fall. We are thankful to live in our community raising our family especially during these challenging times. Why I’m Running:
I simply believe in public service. When it comes to a public education, I want to ensure the children of our community are receiving the highest level of education and support to succeed. Accountability, hard work, and respect are all values that our children should learn, but most importantly, I want their time in the classroom focused on becoming critical thinkers and learning curriculum. There are so many outside influences in today’s age, but the classroom should be a safe space to escape those worries and children should flourish and gain self-confidence from their peers, teachers, and school staff. We live in an amazing community, and I only want to be a part of it prospering. Why Vote for Me:
I ask, “Why not?” I am not a politician and have never ran for public office. I hope to bring a fresh perspective to the Board where the focus is on helping children again become critical thinkers and learn their ABC’s and 123’s. It seems there are so many distractions for children, and I want to help keep school life simple and focused on curriculum. In addition, teachers and school staff should have their jobs simple and receive as much support as they deem necessary. Thank You:
I’m very excited to take this journey and hopefully become your representative at SUSD. My campaign is truly grassroots and I am completely open to hearing from the community.
