Today, I want to take a moment to say thank you.

To the voters heading to the polls: you are the heartbeat of our democracy. Your voice, your vote, your belief in a better future—that’s what drives real change. Polls are open from 6 AM to 7 PM, and I have the links for you below.

To every candidate running today—thank you for stepping up. It takes courage, sacrifice, and grit to put your name on a ballot. Win or lose, your willingness to serve is a powerful act of leadership, and our communities are better for it.

💥 Hi, I am Jeff Rivera. I am a Candidate for South Moline Township Trustee — and I’m not here for the spotlight. I’m here for the people.

🛠️ I grew up right here in Moline. From Logan to Wilson to MHS — this city shaped me. I went away to the University of Illinois to study Philosophy and Religious Studies, but it only reminded me how much I love home.

My roots run deep—Hero Street to 5th Street in Silvis, Villa Park to Optimist Park in Moline. This is my community, and I intend to give it everything I’ve got.

What I bring to the table:
💪 A union background.
🧠 Critical thinking, problem solving, and real-life experience.
🙏 Service to my church, my family, and our kids’ future.
🖤 A love for this place that won’t be shaken by ugly politics.

What I’m NOT afraid of:
🗣️ Gossip
🙄 Ugly behavior
🚫 Anyone who tests my love for family, faith, or community

I don’t do drama — I do solutions.
I don’t tear down — I build up.
And I don’t need a parade to prove I care — I’ve been walking this walk long before I ever ran for office.
