We are just four weeks away from our Triennial Full-Scale Exercise. This exercise is vital not only to the airport, but to the safety and preparedness of our entire community.

Local mutual-aid partners—including fire, law enforcement, EMS, air medical services, hospital systems, and Metrolink—will work together to test communication, response times, medical capabilities, coordination, and overall emergency readiness.

Strong partnerships are essential during a real emergency. This exercise gives us the opportunity to train together, identify challenges, and ensure we are prepared to respond as one coordinated team.

Celebrating 250 Years of America!

Today, the Metropolitan Airport Authority Police and Fire Department proudly joins our community and our nation in celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.

For two and a half centuries, this great nation has stood as a symbol of freedom, courage, service, and opportunity. As first responders, we are honored to serve under the values that have defined America since 1776—dedication to our communities, commitment to protecting others, and the unwavering spirit of those who came before us.

From the skies above our airport to the people who travel through our community every day, we are reminded that the strength of our country comes from ordinary Americans doing extraordinary things in service to one another.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, we honor our nation's past, appreciate the freedoms we enjoy today, and look forward with optimism to the future.

Happy 250th Birthday, America!
May we continue to serve with pride, protect with honor, and uphold the values that make the United States the greatest nation in the world.
