SPECIAL REPORT: EGG-NAPPER APPREHENDED THANKS TO PUBLIC TIPS

MAYOR DEEMS RABBIT EGG-SENTIAL WORKER AND FREES BUNNY

Tips from the public led the Monroe Township Police Department to locate and apprehend the egg thief yesterday afternoon.

Police arrested the 237-year-old Easter Bunny of Monroe Township, after a witness said she observed the bunny entering several backyards and tossing peanut butter egg wrappers on the ground near Schoolhouse Road.

Officers set up a perimeter and moved in. Bunny was unaware of any police activity in the area because he was found listening to hip hop music on his earphones. Bunny was found in possession of tons of jellybeans and confessed to police that he had hidden all the stolen eggs in preparation for his big day.

After consultation with Mayor Tamburro, Bunny was deemed an EGG-SENTIAL WORKER and was released without being charged to continue spreading happiness and cheer throughout Monroe Township.

Unfortunately, Easter Bunny is unable to parade through neighborhoods today on his fire truck because of the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing restrictions. He promised to wear his mask and gloves and do his very best to deliver eggs to his friends in Monroe Township tonight.

Thank you CVS of Monroe for the Easter candy!! We appreciate your support.

DIY Disposable Face Covering in Under 3 Minutes!

The CDC now recommends wearing face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. We must keep the flow of N95 type and surgical masks reserved for our frontline first responders and healthcare workers.
Better Living Appliances & Hardware’s very own DIY expert Nicole made a quick video and written instructions on how to make a quality disposable face covering using everyday household items and shop towels made from a polyester hydro knit. This covering is acceptable to use when out and about for essential items, and can be disposed of properly in a trash receptacle when soiled. Be sure to recycle the rubber bands and paper clip for more masks!

Check her out, give us a like and follow, and share! #staysafe #stayhome

Thank you NlcoIe Glessman ❤️

Instructions
Step 1: Bend a paper clip as straight as possible and then place it in the middle at the top of the shop towel.

Step 2: Fully tape the paper clip at the top with masking tape.

Step 3: Fold the top in covering the paper towel and repeat. After folding in twice, repeat the folding pattern shown in the video.

Step 4: After folding is completed, staple each side (about an 1-2 inches in).

Step 5: Tear each side as shown in the video, so that the rubber band will fit. Then place a rubber band and staple, making sure it’s secure, on each side.

Step 6: Mask is ready for use - make sure the paper clip side is on your nose so you can form a shape to give you a better seal

At 1:25 AM Station 57, 23A, 23B and 51 were dispatched to The Reserve at Stonebridge for a reported structure fire. Squad 57 arrived with heavy fire throughout the residence and quickly went to work with two attack lines. An offensive attack was attempted, but due to a structural collapse and heavy fire on the "C" side of the structure they were forced to go defensive. Tower 51 and Ladder 8 went into operation with master streams as crews secured the gas main and progress on the fire was made. Multiple mutual aid companies were called in on the 2 alarm blaze and crews remained on scene for much of the morning.
