What is the single most critical decision you will ever make for the trajectory of your career and legacy? The definitive answer is an intentional choice of alignment: you must deliberately surround yourself with people who will actively say your name in a room full of opportunities.

In too many professional environments, individuals are trapped under an obsolete command and control management model, where insecure managers intentionally dim the light of their team to protect their own status. They suppress talent, hoard credit, and keep your brilliance hidden from executive view. But true, visionary leadership operates with a pure heart; it chooses to care and connect at the highest level.

Legendary leaders use their influence to act as an unyielding elevator for others, building a profound sanctuary of trust where everyone’s success is collectively celebrated. When you align yourself with advocates who champion your worth in your absence, your potential is unlocked. True success is never achieved in isolation; it thrives when we actively open doors, pull up chairs, and loudly amplify each other's names where it matters most.

If you are ready to master this high-trust standard of advocacy and discover the definitive framework to build an elite, empowering culture, the blueprint is waiting. This expansion is big news. Not just for Northeast Louisiana and Monroe businesses, but for our families.

These investments mean new jobs and new opportunities that can change the trajectory of our community.

But our children can only access these opportunities if our schools are preparing them well.

While we are working hard, the truth is that we have a lot of work to do. Recent LEAP scores show us the gaps that exist in learning for students of color, economically disadvantaged students, and students with disabilities.

We owe it to ALL of our students to ensure they enter kindergarten ready to learn, can read by third grade, leave 9th grade on track for on-time graduation, and have access to opportunities in high school that earn them career credentials and college credit.

Monroe City Schools, more than ever before, should be laser-focused on building strong pathways from the classroom to career so our kids can thrive in a growing economy.

Our students deserve to be ready for the future they want and deserve. And, that’s being built right here at home.

The project is expected to support an estimated 7,500 construction jobs and 1,000 operational roles.

Who needs a fancy video when you have a 9 year old with a serious voice 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My 9-year-old daughter, Marley, spent 45 minutes creating a 20-second commercial to share with our District 5 community.💛

If you enjoy it, show her some love in the comments. I know it would make her day. 🤣🤣🤣

I would love to see something like this in Monroe! Film making, photography, audio production, music production, sound engineering, painting, arts, and social media engineering.

Louisiana's first film and production charter high school, the Louisiana Academy of Production, is set to open next month. Link in comments ⬇️

Can we have a real conversation about school safety???

If we put a fence around what we love at home… why are the places we send our children every morning still wide open? A closed campus isn’t about fear. It’s about the same thing that fence is about. It says these children are protected. These teachers are protected. This ground means something, and you don’t just get to walk onto it.

We’re not building a district that reacts after something happens. We’re building one that made the boundary clear long before incident had a chance too.

I believe better starts with a fence. Investing starts with a door that we decide who comes through. So I’ll ask you plainly… do you agree schools should have real safety? Or is it just me?

Thanks for asking what's on my mind.....

I believe Christ has empowered each of us with the ability to positively impact the world around us. I fluently speak business and my wife fluently speaks education. For years I've learned the language of education from across the kitchen table.

In 2026 there is a major intersection where the district is in desperate need of people who can also speak the language of local, state and federal dollars. Our schools are falling apart. Our teachers are overworked. The sad truth is one person can not do it alone.... but us as a family, together we can make a tremendous difference in our schools, families, and communities.

I'm Jeron Strickland, before I ask for your vote I would love for us to have a conversation to see how we can build this future together.
