Army Offers Aviation Warrant Officer Retention Bonuses

The Army is offering active-duty helicopter warrant officer pilots retention bonuses ranging from $75,000 to nearly $210,000 for commitments of three to six additional years of service. The incentives prioritize instructor pilots, maintenance test pilots, and pilots in command flying Black Hawk, Apache, and Chinook aircraft. Eligible Regular Army warrant officers must meet aeronautical, medical, and active-duty service requirements. Payments are made in monthly installments and are taxable unless earned while deployed to a combat zone. The program is available on a first-come, first-served basis through Sept. 30, 2026.

Today we recognize and celebrate the immeasurable and impactful contributions of the Warrant Officer Corps to the Army and Army Aviation.

The U.S. Army Warrant Officer Corps was established 108 years ago on July 9, 1918 as part of the U.S. Army Mine Planter Service. 22 years ago on this date in 2004, Army Warrant Officers were authorized to wear Army Officer Branch insignia and branch colors as a uniform change. That same message also established the new Chief Warrant Officer Five rank insignia.

Our Aviation Warrant Officers continue to be the indispensable and irreplaceable skilled leader technicians that provide commanders with significant contributions to our Army's warfighting capabilities. Their professionalism, expertise, and performance have enabled Army Aviation to build and solidify the bond of trust and confidence with the Army Combat, Combat Support, and Combat Service Support branches, so critical to our success as an Army.

All of us at AAAA thank you for everything you do for our Branch and our Army, and salute you and your families for your continued service!

Above the Best!

Every successful project requires skilled professionals behind the scenes.
Project managers, safety specialists, planners, and operations leaders are every bit as important as the technicians and mechanics performing the work.
TLC helps veterans pursue certifications that recognize these valuable professional skills and support successful careers for themselves and their families.
