🇺🇸 82 Years Since D-Day 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering determination of the heroes who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

The success of D-Day marked a turning point in World War II and came at an extraordinary cost. Thousands of brave men fought through impossible odds to defend freedom and secure a better future for generations to come.

As we remember the 82nd Anniversary of D-Day, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office joins our nation in paying tribute to the veterans and fallen heroes whose service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Their courage changed the course of history. Their legacy lives on in the freedoms we enjoy today.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🎯🎣 Making a Difference Beyond the Water!🎣🎯

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office is proud to present a donation of $1,864 to Ouachita 4-H Shooting Sports, proceeds raised through the OPSO Big Bass Tournament.

The tournament is about more than fishing, it’s about investing in the next generation. Through programs like 4-H Shooting Sports, young people learn responsibility, discipline, leadership, sportsmanship, and safe firearm handling while building confidence and lifelong skills.

Sheriff Marc Mashaw and the OPSO team are grateful to everyone who participated, sponsored, and supported the tournament. Because of your involvement, we are able to give back to organizations that are making a positive impact in our community every day.

🎣🏆 Congratulations to Ouachita 4-H Shooting Sports, and thank you for helping shape future leaders in Ouachita Parish! 🎣🏆

OUACHITA PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES
REAL-TIME CRIME CENTER

(Ouachita Parish, LA) – The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office officially launched its new Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), marking a significant advancement in public safety, crime prevention, and law enforcement technology for the citizens of Ouachita Parish.

The RTCC serves as a centralized intelligence and technology hub designed to provide deputies and investigators with immediate access to critical information, allowing for faster response times, enhanced situational awareness, and more effective crime-solving capabilities.

The RTCC integrates multiple technologies into a single platform, including artificial intelligence-powered video analytics, live body-worn camera feeds, in-car camera systems, computer-aided dispatch information, drone operations, and investigative intelligence resources. By bringing these tools together in real time, deputies can make more informed decisions while responding to incidents and developing criminal investigations.

"This is a game changer for public safety in Ouachita Parish," said Sheriff Marc Mashaw. "The RTCC allows us to connect technology, intelligence, and personnel in ways we've never been able to before. Our goal is simple: provide our deputies with the best tools available to protect our citizens, solve crimes more efficiently, and enhance public safety across our parish."

The RTCC will support all divisions of the Sheriff's Office by assisting with active investigations, locating suspects and stolen vehicles, monitoring critical incidents, supporting search warrant operations, and providing real-time information during emergencies and large-scale events.

The launch represents the Sheriff's Office's continued commitment to innovation, accountability, transparency, and proactive policing. By leveraging modern technology, the RTCC enhances the agency's ability to identify crime trends, allocate resources more effectively, and respond to threats before they escalate.

The Real Time Crime Center is staffed by specially trained personnel who will work closely with patrol deputies, investigators, school resource officers, and partnering agencies throughout Northeast Louisiana to strengthen collaboration and improve public safety outcomes.

"The launch of this center reflects our commitment to staying ahead of emerging challenges and utilizing technology responsibly to serve our community," Mashaw said. "This investment is about protecting lives, supporting our deputies, and ensuring Ouachita Parish remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family."

A special Thank You to our partners at Motorola Solutions, BRINC Drones & American Integration Contractors, LLC for making this possible.
