Thank You, Monroeville and Congratulations to Our New Board Members

The votes are in, and while I came up short, I want to sincerely congratulate Greg, Tom, and John on their election to the Monroeville School Board. Each of them brings a commitment to accountability and a shared belief in the power of public education to uplift our students and community.

I’m proud of my campaign, centered on transparency, student well-being, and the kind of positive school culture that helps every child thrive. That vision doesn’t end here.

Two more seats will be up in 2027. And the work of listening, advocating, and elevating continues.

Thank you to everyone who supported me, shared ideas, and believed in the message. I’ll keep showing up for our students, our staff, and the future of Monroeville.

I Voted Today and I’m Proud to Be on the Ballot

As Election Day approaches, I want to share one final message about why I’m running for Monroeville School Board.

From the beginning, this campaign has been rooted in one simple belief:
Transparency leads to accountability.
When we communicate clearly, listen openly, and act with integrity, we build trust and trust is the foundation of a thriving school community.

I’m running to:
- Support student mental health through a positive, inclusive school environment.
- Ensure staff voices are heard and respected.
- Strengthen communication between the board, administration, families, and the village.
- Help Monroeville schools grow with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

Today, I cast my vote with pride. I believe in our students. I believe in our staff. And I believe in the power of transparency to move us forward, together.

I want to once again thank everyone for their support. I'm hoping to bring more community involvement back to our school. Transparency will lead to accountability.

I have seen major changes in the environment but we need to stay focused and continue down that path to improve the mental health of our students and their teachers.

📣 It’s Official: Scherley for School Board!

I’m honored to share that my petition has been certified, I'm officially on the ballot for a seat on the Monroeville School Board.

This campaign isn’t about politics. It’s about people. It’s about students walking into school feeling safe, supported, and inspired. It’s about staff feeling heard and valued. It’s about continuing the momentum of positivity that’s already lifting our halls, and making sure it grows stronger.

-When the environment improves, so does mental health.
-When students feel seen, they thrive.
-When we lead with kindness and clarity, we build a legacy worth passing on.

I believe in Monroeville. I believe in our kids. And I believe that together, we can keep rising.

📌 Important Notice: Special Meeting on Levy Renewal 📌

The Monroeville School Board has scheduled a special meeting tomorrow at 2:00 PM, with just 24 hours’ notice and a single agenda item: Resolution for Levy Renewal.

This is a renewal, not an increase, but the resolution must be filed by Wednesday to make the ballot. That deadline has been on the calendar for months, so why has action come at the last minute?

It’s also worth noting: this is the second special meeting this summer scheduled in the afternoon with just over 24 hours’ notice. That trend makes public engagement harder and raises real questions about prioritizing accessibility.

Transparency isn’t just about making information available, it’s about making it accessible. Our community deserves meeting schedules that allow time to understand the topics, share perspectives, and participate meaningfully.

As someone who believes in responsible, inclusive leadership, I’ll continue advocating for thoughtful planning, timely communication, and respect for the public’s right to be informed.

🦅 Officially Taking Flight...Thank You, Monroeville! 🦅

Today, I filed my petitions to run for a seat on the Monroeville School Board, a milestone in this journey that wouldn’t be possible without the encouragement and support of so many in our community. I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who’s offered support, encouragement, and kind words along the way. This campaign isn’t just about me, it’s about our community, our schools, and our shared vision for the future. Thank you all for standing beside me and believing in what we can achieve together.

While the signatures still need to be officially validated before I’m on the ballot, I believe in transparency every step of the way and sharing this moment is part of that promise.

I’ve said from the beginning that this journey is about openness, accountability, and meaningful change that benefits our kids. That’s why I’m especially excited about what’s happening inside our schools. With Dr. Grant and Mrs. Elmlinger stepping into leadership, I truly believe we’re taking a major step toward rebuilding a positive culture, one that’s been missing for too long. Their energy, dedication, and student-centered focus offer hope for the kind of environment our young Eagles deserve.
