According to this survey, the public agrees that Alabama public schools have a story to tell, and it’s part of !

Also, the public believes accountability, transparency, and putting some guardrails in place should be the price of admission for receiving public dollars. Now that’s good government!

The survey shows respondents again ranked education as their top priority with healthcare coming in a close second.

Spent some time talking with AEA Executive Director Amy Marlowe at the AASB office this week. I appreciate Amy’s service and advocacy on behalf of public education employees, and I look forward to working together to find common ground - and having some spirited conversations along the way, I’m sure - about how we can collectively improve educational outcomes for our students, teachers, and school staffs.

While we may sometimes approach issues from different perspectives, I believe we share a common goal: doing what’s best for the people and communities we serve. I’m looking forward to the conversations and collaboration ahead.
