This evening was a perfect example of why a small town is a great place to live. This was an awesome example of the citizens and police working hand-in-hand to fight crime. A concerned citizen watching out for the neighborhood observed two males passed out in a vehicle on Franklin St and called the police. The police arrived along with EMS to investigate. Two males were detained on the scene and another fled on foot. Mayfield Police then found the third person in the area of Bacon St. While talking to the actor he then fled again on foot. After a brief foot pursuit the Mayfield officer and a member of the fire department captured the male on Bridge Street. Archbald and Carbondale Township police also assisted in the incident. An amount of money and a large quantity of "spice" were found during the investigation. Drug related charges are pending on the actors involved.

The Susquehanna County Firemans Association will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, Nov 19th at 7:30 PM at Forest Lake Fire Co. All emergency personal are encouraged to attend and offer ideas for upcoming training to be held in the county.

The Susquehanna county fireman association will be hosting a rescue weekend at Hallstead fire company April 11 and 12 2015. The classes will trench rescue ,confined space rescue and rope 1.
