Nine candidates filed for four open spots on the Moorhead City Council. One seat on the City Council was up for election in each of Moorhead’s four wards.

While we wait for tonight’s results, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all. From doorknocking to donating to writing postcards to sending positive messages, your support has been uplifting and invaluable.

I also enjoyed getting to meet a lot of neighbors. I appreciate how much we all care about our community and want to continue to grow in a positive direction.

Reminder that early voting is still open today (Monday) until 5pm. Go get that sticker!

We've had a lot of questions about where to go for early voting. The only location for early voting for Moorhead Residents is the Clay County Government Center. They are open every day through the election.

Traffic Alert: BNSF to Close 14 St between Center Ave and 1 Ave N for Railroad Crossing Surface Replacement

Starting Friday, October 25 at noon, BNSF will temporarily close 14 St between Center Ave and 1 Ave N to replace the railroad crossing surface. Traffic will be detoured via Center Ave and 1 Ave N. The closure is anticipated to last approximately four days.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detours, and allow for extra travel time. Thank you for your patience as this necessary work is completed to improve the railroad crossing.
