This week, in honor of National Correctional Officers and Employees Week, our Lieutenant Dj Hart and his wife Heather Hart took a moment to recognize the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of our correctional officers with a small token of appreciation.

While the gesture may have been simple, the meaning behind it was significant. Every day, correctional staff show commitment, strength, and compassion while maintaining the safety and security of our facility and community. Their efforts often go unseen, but they never go unnoticed.

Thank you to all correctional officers and staff for the sacrifices you make, the challenges you face, and the professionalism you display day in and day out. Your dedication does not go unrecognized.

We are proud to recognize three correctional officers for their exceptional quick thinking and decisive actions during a recent medical incident within the facility.

When faced with a critical situation, both officers responded immediately, demonstrating calm under pressure, strong situational awareness, and a deep commitment to the safety and well-being of those in their care. Their swift reaction and teamwork played a vital role in ensuring the individual received prompt medical attention.

Incidents like these highlight the level of preparedness, professionalism, and dedication required in corrections. These officers exemplify the standards of our department and serve as an outstanding example of what it means to protect and serve with integrity.
