🐾 BEAU’S LAW — KNOW THE NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR OUTDOOR DOGS 🐾
A new Alabama law is coming into effect October 1, 2026, establishing minimum standards of care for dogs kept outdoors.
As pet owners, it’s important that we understand what the law requires and make sure our dogs have the care and protection they need. ❤️
Every outdoor dog must have access to:
💧 Clean, adequate water
🍽️ Adequate food
🏠 Proper shelter from the weather
🔒 Safe confinement
🐾 Humane, appropriate tethering when tethering is used
These requirements are about more than following the law—they’re about making sure our pets are safe, healthy, and treated with dignity.
📢 Please take a moment to review the information in the flyer and share it with your family, friends, and fellow pet owners. Helping our community understand the law can help prevent unintentional violations and, most importantly, help protect the animals we all care about.
