Tomorrow and Wednesday, Bus 8 AM route will start approximately 25 minutes later than normal. Please make sure your child is at his or her stop. Depending on your child's stop, the bus can arrive earlier or later based on ridership.

Week of May 11th

Good Evening Hawks!

This is Principal Curtis Mitcham, calling with important information for Mount Holly Middle School families.

It's hard to believe that our 25-26 school year will come to and end this Wednesday. EOG re-testing will conclude Monday May 18th.

As a reminder, we will have our Sixth grade awards on Tuesday, May 19th at 9:00 a.m., and seventh grade awards will take place that same day at 1:00 p.m. 8th Grade Awards will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 9am.

This year, report cards will not be mailed to students' homes. They will be distributed to students on the last day of school which is Wednesday, May 20th. Parents of students who are not in attendance will be able to pick up their child’s report cards in the office through May 22 Also, students report cards will be available digitally through Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

Parents, This is a reminder to ensure that your student has completed all required immunizations for the next school year. Please make any needed medical appointments for wellness visits and immunizations during the upcoming summer months. The Gaston County Health Department, Local pharmacies and Urgent Care clinics also offer Immunizations. Please note that if your student has medications at school in the front office, those medications must be picked up by a parent at the end of the school year. The pick up dates are May 20 at the end of the school day through May 27. Any medications not picked up during this time period are taken to a local pharmacy for disposal. The school is not permitted to store medications during the summer months. We appreciate your help in keeping your student well and safe at school!

Good Morning Teachers, Staff, Parents, and Students,

Please keep our school family in your thoughts and prayers as we cope with the sudden passing of one of our teachers, Mr. Casey McMillen, who also served as an assistant coach for the Stuart W. Cramer varsity baseball team. No words can describe our feelings of shock and sadness as we deal with this tragic loss – we are in disbelief right now.

Our deepest condolences go out to Mr. McMillen’s family, friends, colleagues, and everyone in the Mount Holly and Stuart W. Cramer school communities. We all know that Mr. McMillen cared deeply for students. He supported them 100 percent in both academics and athletics, and he gave so much to positively influence the lives of young people and everyone around him. Without question, he will be greatly missed by all of us.

We will have counselors and additional personnel at school on Monday to support our students and staff. Again, please remember Mr. McMillen’s family in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you for your support of and concern for our school during this very difficult time.
