The Burlington County Sheriff’s Department work together with Mount Holly Police, Westampton Police, Lumberton Police and Eastampton Police to create knowledgeable young citizens and help mold future community leaders. Law Enforcement Exploring is the preeminent career orientation and experience program for young people contemplating a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal j

ustice system. Its mission is to offer young adults, 14 and have completed the eighth grade and not yet 21 years old, a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition, and other activities. Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship and patriotism. Law Enforcement Explorer Posts are sponsored by local, state and federal law enforcement agencies throughout the country. August 31, 2018 Explorers Post #150 played a big role in this years Community Candlelight Vigil and Remembrance Event. Prevention Plus, Shouting for Shelby and King’s Crusade organized this candlelight vigil to remember those lost to drug overdose and give hope to others still struggling with addiction. Just a couple of the responsibilities our Explorers has was they escorted families on stage and provided candles to hundreds of attendees.
