We thank you all for the hail reports we have received so far from last nights storms. Unfortunately it looks like we will receive even more large hail over the next couple of days. Here's some best practices for reporting and measuring hailstones in the future.

A tornado watch is coming soon for most of Southwest Arkansas! Be aware and stay alert this evening and overnight! All modes of severe weather will be possible!

Heads up. The warnings are starting to pop up.

7:51 pm Radar Update: A line of strong to severe storms continues to move east/southeast into Southwest Arkansas. Severe warnings continue for Polk, Northern western Sevier & Pike counties. This line is moving at around 30 to 40 mph at this time! We also have a strong thunderstorm over the Mount Ida area heading towards the Hot Springs area slowly!

Call to Action: DO NOT WAIT FOR THE SEVERE WEATHER ALERT! Clear you interior closet/room NOW! Make sure your helmets, shoes, and a supplies are easily accessible, not buried under five years of Christmas decorations. Be weather aware, Montgomery County!

The NWS says Northern Arkansas might see golf-sized hail today, and while we’re technically in the clear, we all know how these clouds like to change their minds over the Ouachita’s.
Current status: Not in the risk zone, but still side-eye those dark clouds like they owe you money. Stay weather aware.
