This Fourth of July, we celebrate an incredible milestone - 250 years as a nation.

Our history hasn't always been easy, but through challenges and achievements alike, we've persevered, supported one another, and moved forward together.

As we celebrate our independence, let's also celebrate the strength of our communities, the kindness of our neighbors, and the values that bring us together. Wishing you a fun-filled 4th of July - be sure to enjoy the Mt. Morris parade and fireworks along with the many other events put on by surrounding communities!

Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States. It’s a time to honor freedom, reflect on this nation’s history, and appreciate the importance of equality for all.

Today my family and I are out at Dixon Pride celebrating what makes our community strong — kindness, inclusion, and people from all walks of life feeling welcome and valued.

One of the best parts of living in a community like ours is getting to show up for one another, whether that’s at local events, volunteering, supporting small businesses, or simply being a good neighbor.

I’m grateful to everyone who helps make our community a place where people can be themselves and feel accepted. Proud to spend the day connecting with so many wonderful people and staying active in the community we call home 🏳️‍🌈

It was a great time connecting with members of our community and neighboring communities at the 13th Annual JFK Brunch hosted by the JFK Dinner PAC. The event was a meaningful reminder of the importance of voting for leaders who truly understand our communities and keep the best interests of the people they serve at the forefront.
