Mount Pocono Borough is seeking residents who are interested in serving on one of our volunteer boards or commissions. This is a great opportunity to become more involved in your community, share your experience and ideas, and help shape recommendations that are presented to Borough Council.
Current openings are available on the:
• Safety Commission
• Parks and Recreation Committee
• Zoning Hearing Board
Members attend monthly meetings, review matters related to their committee’s responsibilities, and work together to provide thoughtful recommendations to Borough Council. No prior municipal experience is required—just a willingness to learn, participate, and help make a positive difference in Mount Pocono.
Residents who are interested should submit a letter of interest explaining why they believe they would be a good fit for the board or commission they would like to join.

Public Input Requested: Mount Pocono Borough Active Transportation Plan Public Comment Period
Mount Pocono Borough invites residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to review and provide feedback on the Active Transportation Plan (ATP). Public input is a critical part of the planning process and will help shape the future of walking, bicycling, and overall mobility throughout the Borough.

About the Active Transportation Plan
The Active Transportation Plan will:

Evaluate existing transportation conditions for pedestrians, bicyclists, and other non-motorized users.
Gather community input through public meetings, outreach activities, and surveys.
Develop and assess potential improvement alternatives.
Refine recommendations based on stakeholder and public feedback.
Prepare a final plan that identifies priority projects, implementation strategies, and estimated costs.
Why Your Input Matters
This planning effort will help create a safer, more connected, and more accessible transportation network for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities. Your comments and recommendations will help guide future investments and improvements throughout Mount Pocono Borough.
