Our club will be hosting an envelope addressing party on Wednesday, September 23rd at the Posey County Democrats' Headquarters (217 W Third St, Mt Vernon) at 6pm. We will be handwriting addresses on envelopes to mail out our club's letter to potential voters.

Here’s the true impact of the Not-So Beautiful Bill on Posey County.

Households with the highest incomes (more than $151,929) gained an average tax break of $5,110, while those with the lowest incomes (less than $37,516) lost an average of -$842.

And for the households in the middle? They gained $957, which was quickly eaten up by higher grocery and gas prices.

Why such an unfair difference?

It’s the net effect of the bill’s devastating cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), which hits people with lower incomes the hardest.

There’s nothing beautiful about taking food and healthcare away from people in our community.

If you are not able to walk in the parade please join us by sitting on our float or riding in a vehicle (which we will provide)! ALL ARE WELCOME!
