Due to conflicting schedules with event organizers, the National Night Out annually held in Cynthiana, Indiana on August 4th has been cancelled. It will be back next year with hopes of a bigger and better event!

Posey County Sheriff Office deputies as well as Marrs Township Fire and Posey County EMS are on the scene of a semi versus train crash on Ford Road. There were no injuries and crews are working to clean up the crash. Please avoid the Ford Road and Wolf Road area while the area is being cleaned up. This is the second vehicle versus train crash our agency has worked in the last two weeks. Please use extreme caution when approaching a railroad crossing using the stop, look and listen method to stay safe.
