The Mountain View Fire Department would like to extend our appreciation to the community for their concern and support following the recent fire near town. We understand that incidents of this nature can create anxiety and draw understandable attention from residents.
However, it is critical to emphasize the importance of keeping emergency scenes clear of pedestrians and civilian traffic. During this recent event, there were several instances where civilian vehicles and bystanders entered the active response area. These interruptions slow our ability to work efficiently and, more importantly, create dangerous conditions that could result in serious injury or even loss of life.
To ensure the safety of both our responders and the community, we respectfully ask that all non‑essential personnel maintain a safe distance and avoid the area entirely during emergency operations. Clear access allows our crews to focus fully on the situation at hand and ensures that everyone stays safe.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support.
