Tonight didn't turn out the way we had hoped but I want to begin by saying thank you.

Thank you to every person that supported me, prayed for me, put up a sign, shared a post or simply offered a kind word along the way. This campaign was built on people who care deeply about our community and I will always be greatful for that.

To my opponent, congratulations, I wish you success as you take on this responsibility and i truly hope for the good of our county that you lead well and serve with integrity.

While this chapter comes to a close, my commitment to this county does not. I've spent my life here and will continue working to make our county a better place to live, work and raise a family.

Thank you again for your trust, your encouragement and your belief in me!
