This morning I had the opportunity to tour
Cocoon House in Everett—an organization that supports unhoused youth. They house, feed, and support many young people (ages 12-24) in Snohomish County.

At this time of year they particularly need donations like hats, socks, gloves. They have an Amazon wish list that you can help out with too—in comments. You can also volunteer to bring meals to youth at the U-turn Drop In center, or donate personal hygiene items, laundry soap, snacks, etc.

See comments for links.

More on this later….

"Mountlake Terrace Public Works Director Gary Schimek and several city staff presented the City’s proposed 2027-28 public works and fleet budget to the City Council at its Thursday, Oct. 22 meeting. This is the Council’s fourth budget meeting.

The first budget meeting reviewed the general fund; the second one covered police, administration and finance budgets; and the third one reviewed IT and Recreation and Parks departments."

Messed up tattoo? Nope!

Got my flu shot today. Take care of yourself, your family, AND your neighbors and please get yours. I’ll be back next week to get my Covid booster.

Thanks for the 💉 , MLT Safeway (and to my plasma cells for doing the hard work of making antibodies for me 🩸).

I’d vote for him if I could… but all I could do was donate and get a t-shirt!

Thanks and good luck all the way from Mountlake Terrace, WA, Team Talarico!
