Revitalize historical architecture and improve our streetscapes to beautify Downtown Muncy. Incorporate a walkable/bikeable town that connects the community to their downtown businesses and outdoor recreation

Partnerships

Downtown Muncy will work with established business owners, volunteers, progressive political leadership, historical preservationists, local government and responsible property owners. Architecture & Historic Preservation

Muncy’s historical architecture and quintessential small town atmosphere is an asset to our community and needs to be revitalized and maintained with care and passion. DMI will work with preservation groups, the Muncy Borough government, and code officials to help encourage and maintain the town’s infrastructure. Work with stronger codes to ensure our community is visibly compliant to the vision of a beautiful historic town. We will offer real support in maintaining a historically preserved community while promoting its adaptive reuse potential for new businesses. Nature and Heritage Tourism

Muncy’s proximity to the Susquehanna River, adequate green space allows for great opportunities for more outdoor recreation for our residents as well as visitors. PA Wilds, an organization that DMI will be actively involved in, promotes outdoor recreation in PA which provides resources for our community and visitors to explore and enjoy the beautiful Appalachian area that we are fortunate to call home.
