The Child Advocacy Center is approaching the finish line of the Our Children, Our Watch Capital Campaign. Our goal is to raise $3.1 million to buy and renovate a new facility. Thanks to our wonderful co-chairs Bill Whitesell and Kristin Demos we are almost there!

We have raised $3,071,675 and bought the facility. The CAC needs to raise the last $28,325 to begin renovations on August 1, 2026.

Here’s where YOU come in…

The CAC is asking all of our supporters to make a contribution or a pledge to contribute to the campaign in the next 2 years. You can choose to mail a check, email a pledge form, or use the online link to contribute: https://givebutter.com/CACBuilds

Questions: Please contact our Development Coordinator Karista Colwell or our accountant Jessica Wauchek at (615) 867-9000 or [email protected] and [email protected]

Please help us meet our goal and begin the renovations! Together we can make a difference in the lives of child abuse victims and their families!

In a supportive, small-group setting, participants will learn how to set healthy boundaries, recognize safe vs. unsafe situations, and identify trusted adults they can turn to for help.

Through conversation and interactive activities, girls will build confidence, awareness, and practical skills they can use every day.

My team and I are proud to be sponsors of the Hometown Heroes Walk for Children this Friday!

The Child Advocacy Centers of Rutherford and Cannon Counties provide a safe, child-friendly place where children who have experienced abuse can receive support, forensic interviews, therapy, and advocacy services. Their mission is to help children and families heal while working to prevent abuse in our community. This is a valuable resource for our community, and supporting organizations like this is essential to keeping children safe and families strong. It is a priority of mine to protect the children of Rutherford County and help ensure this remains a great place for families to live.

The opening ceremony begins at 11:30 at the Murfreesboro Civic Plaza, and the walk begins at noon.

Join our team to support a great cause and get your steps in! Wear your green Kenneth Barrett shirts if you have one. Can't wait to see you there!
