Connie Casha for TN HD 49

Connie Casha for TN HD 49 That's why I'm running for Tennessee State House District 49.

I'm a mom, grandmother, early childhood educator, instructional coach who believes that every child deserves a strong start, a safe home, and a family with the support they need to thrive.

Just weeks ago, TN State Legislators redrew congressional lines. Some of my neighbors in House District 49 will now share a congressional representative with Memphis, over 200 miles away.

A key part of my recent event at Paul Johns Park was raising awareness about this new congressional redistricting and its impact on people in HD49.

Volunteer Shelly McCormack brought our map showing District 49 and the new congressional lines so visitors could see exactly where their home falls.

I'm so grateful for the creativity ideas that Shelley has brought to our team to promote community outreach and education.

Volunteers like Shelley are the heart of this campaign. I'd love for you to join our team. Check out the link in my bio to get involved!

More photos and videos coming soon... stay tuned!

I'm so grateful to my friend Dr. Jacque Johnson for speaking out at my event this week.

We met over 25 years ago at the Department of Education, when she worked in the Reading Program and have become lifelong friends. At the Department, we worked together to implement the Voluntary Pre-K program across the state of Tennessee. We stayed connected when she later opened her own childcare program in Rutherford County, and while she pursued her Doctorate in Education at ETSU. Jacque understands communities in Tennessee because she has served children and families right here in Tennessee and Rutherford county her entire life.

Reconnecting with friends and former colleagues has been one of the highlights of my campaign. These relationships in the community keep me grounded and focused on the work that remains to be done.

Without the help of my friends, colleagues, and volunteers, thos campaign would not be possible.

Whether you volunteer, donate, or become a part of our core campaign team, each person can make a difference. Check out the link in my bio to get involved. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

Grateful to for speaking out at my event this week about young people and the power of their voice and their vote.

Volunteers like Sidney are the heart of campaign. People who speak out and show up make all the difference. Without them, none of this would be possible.

I'd love to have you join us. Check out the link in my bio to get involved!

Happy Pride Month! ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธ

Showing up for one another, without judgement, is what makes our community thrive. I hope youโ€™ll join me in attending one of the many events planned this month to celebrate LGBTQ+ culture and history.

LGBTQ families, youth, and seniors make important contributions to our community. This month and every month, letโ€™s advocate for a world where we can all thrive.
