Shark! Weekend

Shark! Weekend Shark! Enjoy a summer's morning run along the ocean which begins and ends at the Nahant Beach Life Saving Station - the stomping ground for Shark! Weekend.

Weekend is a charity event designed to bring people together for a two day event which will benefit Shark research and help raise money for the National Brain Tumor Society. "How can I participate?"

There are 3 ways:

Shark Fishing Tournament

Friday August 3rd - enter you and your buds for the Shark Fishing Tournament, held in the waters of Massachusetts Bay. Participants will collect data and

tag and release sharks, as well as harvest one adult shark to the "Shark Roast", Saturday August 4th.

5k Road Race

Saturday August 4th - enter for the 5k road race which will be held in sea side community of Nahant. Shark Roast

Saturday August 4th - We'll spend the bulk of the day roasting a whole shark in a custom built smoker to be enjoyed by all. But that's not all that's on the menu. Stuffed burger bellies, corn on the cob, a little bit of everything you can BBQ for everyone to enjoy. Tickets can be purchased for each event* at www.sharkweekend.org
