Bud break started a few weeks ago at Lunar Ridge and the vineyard is starting to turn green again. It is always surprising how quickly the vines go from dormant to full of new shoots.

Most of the work actually happens in the winter before this. Pruning, tying the vines, and preparing the vineyard all lead up to this moment. Now we watch the vines grow and see what this season brings!

Happy 2026, friends!

We’re excited to share that our 2023 Lunar Ridge Syrah is officially released and now available for purchase on our website. Orders can be customized by vintage, bottle, half case, full case, or multiple cases, whatever fits your table and your cellar.
(And a quick tip: shipping is more economical when ordering more than one bottle.)

A bit of background on the 2023 vintage:
That year’s Napa Valley growing season unfolded at a slower pace. A wet winter was followed by cooler spring and summer temperatures, extending the growing season and allowing the vines to develop gradually. Harvest arrived later than usual, giving the fruit the time it needed to reach full maturity.

As 2025 comes to a close and we look ahead to 2026, we want to take a moment to thank you, our community, for your support in Lunar Ridge this past year.

In 2025, Theresa and I had the privilege of visiting local restaurants and markets and seeing Lunar Ridge served at tables and stocked on shelves throughout Napa Valley. We were also thrilled to see our direct-to-you shipping grow more than ever and we're excited to continue building this connection and expanding in 2026.

In the quiet, early hours of the morning, we began harvesting the Lunar Ridge Syrah grapes—one of the most exciting and labor-intensive moments of the year.
