🚨 Big News: Warrior Homes of Collier Receives Largest Grant in Our History!

We are incredibly honored to announce that the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation has awarded us a $250,000 matching challenge grant, the largest single commitment in our organization’s history!

Once matched by our community, this generous gift will bring $500,000 to complete the Zulu Project. When finished later this year, Zulu House will provide homes for 20 more veterans and help us achieve “functional zero” veteran homelessness in Collier County, meaning every veteran who wants to be housed can be.

“We’re incredibly thankful to the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation for this and all of the amazing support they have given us over the years,” said Dale Mullin, Founder and President of Warrior Homes of Collier. “They deeply understand both the mission and the urgent need in our community to stand behind homeless veterans.”

This transformational support will help us finish strong on Zulu House and strengthen our ability to provide stable housing and wraparound services for veterans who served our country.

Now is the perfect time to give; every dollar you donate will be matched up to $250,000!

Help us unlock the full $500,000 and support our veterans by donating today at wwcollier.org/donate

Thank you to the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation for believing in our mission and our veterans.

đź’ś A Grateful Thank You to The League Club of Naples!

We are incredibly grateful for the $45,000 generous donation from The League Club of Naples!

This impactful gift will directly support stable housing, rent assistance, mental health services, and wraparound services for veterans in Collier County, helping us continue our mission to end veteran homelessness and keep our local veterans safely housed.

We are proud that 95 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to programs that house and support our veterans.

The League Club’s commitment to strengthening our community through philanthropy is truly inspiring. Thank you for believing in our veterans and standing with them as they rebuild their lives after service. Your generosity makes a lasting difference.

⚡️ RAPID RESPONSE IN ACTION

Veteran:
Male, Married, Father of two

Case Profile:
When a married veteran and father of two reached out to us, he and his family were facing imminent homelessness.

He was hesitant at first, believing other veterans needed help more than he did. But we knew we could act quickly.

Through our Rapid Response program, Warrior Homes of Collier was able to immediately cover the first and last month’s rent plus the security deposit, getting the entire family safely into stable housing.

Then the community stepped up:
Simultaneously, a longtime donor reached out offering to donate furniture to a veteran in need. With his donation, we were able to help furnish this veteran's apartment. Blue Star Mothers provided food and kitchen essentials.

This is what Rapid Response looks like at Warrior Homes of Collier, moving fast to prevent homelessness and helping veterans and their families stay together and rebuild.

No veteran has to face this battle alone.

At Warrior Homes of Collier, our calling is simple:

Saving Lives One Veteran at a Time.

In 2019, we conducted Collier County’s first-ever Veteran Homeless Count and found nearly 50 homeless veterans in our community. Since then, we’ve worked tirelessly to provide clean, safe, and dignified housing for our veterans.

Today, we proudly manage six homes:
Alpha • Bravo • Charlie • Delta • Echo • Foxtrot Houses

Later this year, Zulu House will open after major renovations, adding 20 more beds. Once complete, we will reach “functional zero” veteran homelessness in Collier County, meaning any veteran who wants a bed will have one.

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of thousands of donors and nearly 20 community partner organizations that help provide wraparound services.

Our work is not finished. We answer the call for help from veterans who do not reside in one of our homes. We have helped over 100 veterans with housing support, transportation, home repairs, mental health referrals, and more.

Whatever they need.
Whatever it takes.
We are here for our veterans.

🏠 Bravo House – A Stable Home for Senior Veterans

Since opening in April 2021, Bravo House has provided long-term, supportive housing for senior veterans in Collier County.

This welcoming 3-bedroom home is dedicated to single, unmarried veterans who meet our eligibility criteria. Residents pay rent on a sliding scale based on their income, giving them the stability and peace they deserve after years of service.

Most of our Bravo House residents are in their mid-60s to mid-70s, a community of senior veterans who can now live with dignity in a safe, clean, and supportive environment.

We are thankful for our community partners and donors who made purchasing this home possible! Learn more about all of our homes at https://wwcollier.org/warrior-homes/.

Every veteran deserves a place to call home, and Bravo House is helping make that a reality.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Did you know:
➡ 50% of post 9/11 veterans suffer from the "Invisible Wounds of War"
➡ A high percentage of veterans returning home struggle with mental health and substance abuse challenges as they work to readjust to civilian life
➡ Many struggling veterans end up in the court system without access to the support they need
➡ Tragically, over 20 veterans die by su***de a day, twice the national average

At Warrior Homes of Collier, we know that stable housing is essential, but mental health support is equally critical to long-term success.

That’s why we are so grateful for our strong community partnerships. WHC residents have access to professional case management through our valued partner, David Lawrence Centers. Veterans in our transitional Alpha House program receive even more focused, intensive support to help them overcome substance use issues and rebuild their lives.

This collaboration proves that real change happens through community. When organizations come together, veterans don’t just survive, they heal, regain stability, and thrive.

Thank you, David Lawrence Centers, and all our community partners, for standing with our veterans.

If you or a veteran you know is struggling, help is available. You are not alone.
