This veteran found himself homeless right here in Collier County — and had no idea help like this existed until his sister, a thousand miles away in Boston, pointed him to Warrior Homes of Collier.

Our team started the way we always do: by asking questions and listening first. Within days, he was off the streets and into a hotel room; safe, stable, and no longer alone. Now he's taking his next step: looking for part-time work.

This is what Rapid Response looks like — a veteran housed, a family reassured from afar, and one more warrior no longer left behind.

Together with our community partners, 95 cents of every dollar raised goes directly toward serving veterans in Collier County. 💙

On Monday, we welcomed 87-year-old Army veteran Richard Foy home at Delta House.

Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963, stationed in Thailand, where he worked as an engineer helping build critical infrastructure.

Before coming to us, he was at risk of homelessness — now he has a safe, stable place to call home.

Richard doesn't have a car, so Warrior Homes Founder Dale Mullin reached out to our partners at Bikes For Tykes, who showed up today with a bicycle for him. Blue Star Mothers Gulf Coast FL-12 is providing a helmet and a lock to keep it safe. Together, our community is making sure Richard has what he needs to get around and stay independent.

Richard says he's tremendously grateful for all the help he's received, and we're grateful to him for his service and to partners like Bikes for Tykes and Blue Star Mothers for stepping up alongside us.

Warrior Homes of Collier is deeply grateful to the Moorings Park Communities and their Moorings Park Foundation for a $50,000 grant supporting our Senior Veteran residents.

This gift will help ensure that the veterans who once served our country can remain safely and stably housed as they age. It's the kind of support that makes a lasting difference in a senior veteran's life.

Community support like this is what makes it possible to keep showing up for the men and women who served. We're honored to have Moorings Park Foundation standing with us in this work.

Trusted with Every Dollar: Warrior Homes of Collier Passes First Outside Financial Audit

Warrior Homes of Collier is proud to share that we passed our first financial audit conducted by Stroemer & Company with flying colors! As our organization has grown, so has our accountability, as many foundation funders require an independent audit once a charity reaches a certain size, and we welcomed that added layer of scrutiny.

Special thanks to our Treasurer, Tom Buckley, for his work steering us through the process. The results confirm what our donors and partners already trust: 95 cents of every dollar raised goes directly toward serving veterans.

We will post the full audit on our website soon. This is the standard of trust we intend to uphold as we work toward our mission of no veteran left behind. Please note that WHC has achieved the Platinum level of accountability with Candid, a company that evaluates nonprofits.

Meet Jisel — a name and a face well known throughout our Warrior Homes community.

Jisel was our very first employee, and for several years she poured her heart into our mission. When she moved on from her role with us, she stayed on as one of our most dedicated volunteers—showing up for our veterans again and again.

Now Jisel is starting a new chapter: she's joined the U.S. Army Reserves, and this November she reports for active duty. The daughter of immigrant parents and a Mom to two boys, she carries the same conviction that brought her to Warrior Homes in the first place — a desire to serve.

Together with our whole community, we've watched Jisel show up for veterans. Now it's our turn to show up for her.

We are so proud of you, Jisel! Thank you for everything you've given our veterans and our community, and thank you for what you're about to give our country. 💜

Warrior Homes of Collier awarded four $5,000 scholarships to veterans and their family members pursuing higher education, supporting studies in aviation, business management, and social work through local universities.

Warrior Homes of Collier is proud to welcome Adam Stranbro as our new Veteran Support Associate.

Adam's connection to Warrior Homes began in 2020, when he became one of the first residents at Alpha House through Collier County's Veterans Treatment Court (VTC). After completing the program, he became a squad leader, supporting others in VTC. A few years ago, he set out to earn a degree in Social Work while working part-time with our operations team. His hands-on work with home maintenance, repairs, and upkeep made him invaluable to our team. He was recently awarded a $5,000 Warrior Homes scholarship to support his college education.

Adam is now beginning a year-long internship as a Veteran Support Associate, working alongside our Veteran Support Manager to help fellow veterans through screening, intake, and the road to housing. His own journey gives him firsthand insight into the needs and challenges veterans face, and we believe he will make a real difference for every veteran he works with.

We are proud of Adam and everything he's accomplished, and even prouder to support him along his journey.
