As we prepare to "Spring Forward" for Daylight Saving Time, Firefighter Steve Williams has an important safety message for our Nappanee neighbors. It’s the perfect time to ensure your home is protected.

Quick Safety Checklist:
• Replace the batteries in all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
• Gently vacuum the sensors to remove dust and debris.
• Check the date: If your detector is 10 years old or older, it’s time for a new one.

Working smoke detectors provide the early warning your family needs to get out safely. If you are a resident in need of a detector or help with installation, please reach out to us!

We would like to welcome back Firefighter/EMT Justin Miller. After 14 years with Wayne Township Fire Dept. he made the decision to return to Nappanee FD where he started his firefighting career as a volunteer. Welcome Home.

Congratulations to these 3 individuals for the award they received at our department award night. Pat Neibert received the MacQueen Award for his service to the department. Nate Yoder received the EMT of the year award and Don Lehman received Firefighter of the year award. Congratulations for your dedication to NFD.

A few weeks ago on a Sunday, C shift was doing pump training when the Sunday School class from Grace Point Church (our next door neighbors) came and joined in. We love our new neighborhood!
