Too many of the symbols below have lost their meaning...We must never forget what these symbols
mean or we will change as
a nation forever... today our Flag waves in the breeze to remind
us that we are still a free country... free to express an opinion, free to
preserve the monuments that stand across this country to
remind us of the actions of many that make up our great history …
All of this would not be possible were it not for the bravery of thousands of men & women who have served this beautiful country of ours, some making the ultimate
sacrifice.. …………today we should remember them , and thank them for their service... God Bless America ... 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 , we are still the land of the free , and the home of the brave..❤️🤍💙

Last night members of the Naugatuck Exchange Club attended the Connecticut District Exchange Club’s ‘Salute to the Finest’ event, which was held at the Aqua Turf , in Plantsville, CT.
Ginny Greatsinger, CT District President ,brought greetings from the District; and, Joe Dudek, National Exchange Club President congratulated the recipients for their service & recognition. He also talked about the Exchange Club’s mission of increasing awareness and prevention of child abuse.
The evening’s keynote speaker was Sgt. Taylor Norton, CT State Police Aviation Unit Supervisor.
Fifteen cities & towns , honored 20 officers , and 3 FBI Agents were recognized for their service.
Accepting the Award and Citation on behalf of the Naugatuck Police Dept’s Det. John Williams, were NPD Chief Colin McAllister, and NPD Det. Michael Deely.

joint fundraising event , with the Rotary Club of Naugatuck. The ‘Sips & Smoke’ event will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026 , from 5:30- 9 PM at Jesse Camilles, under the Big Tent.

Last night we took a ‘break’ from regular business and met to enjoy friendship between members & guests and celebrate annual tradition of Cinco de Mayo🪗🪘🪇
And to acknowledge the birthdays of Len Santarsiero( our club President) and club member, Joe (Jake) Krajeski’. It was an evening of enjoyable camaraderie!!!

Naugatuck Exchange Club's 24th Annual Community Champions Recognition Event took place on Tuesday, April 28, at the Crystal Room in Naugatuck. The Exchange Club was proud to recognize Lisa A. Shappy as Citizen of the Year, Kirsten DeMaio as Educator of the Year, Lt. Jack Geary as Firefighter of the Year and Det. John Williams as Police Officer of the Year. The recipients were recognized for their ongoing contributions to their Community.
The honorable Mayor Pete Hess presented Proclamations /Citations (on behalf of Rep. Seth Bronko (who was in session in Htfd.) to each recipient. The Colors were presented by members of the NHS, JRROTC and the National Anthem was sung by Renee Harvey. The Invocation/ Benediction were delivered by Rev. Jules Jodko. The Master of Ceremonies was Jim Goggin.
Exchange Club President, Len Santarsiero and District Exchange Club President, Ginny Greatsinger, presented awards to the evening’s recipients.

Today is the third Monday of April.. and Mondays, in April, are 'Blue Mondays'.
•.. as members of Exchange
we wear something Blue to show our support of the Mission of Exchange... to increase awareness & the prevention of child abuse and neglect that may exist in our communities... please join us in the support of our mission by wearing something blue... and as you pass by the Town Green take a look at the Blue Ribbon display which stands as a reminder that Child Abuse is not always obvious . It takes different forms, but it does exist... remember always.... children are our future

The Naugatuck Exchange Club will be holding a Diaper Drive( including appropriate baby products, on Tuesday , April 21, 2026. Items can be brought to Jesse Camille’s Restaurant on 615 N. Church St. in Naugatuck.
