People have been wondering about the construction outside of our building…. We’ve started work on our West Side Project! We are putting in a nice patio area and redoing the emergency exit. JEO Architecture did the planning, and we contracted Midwest DCM for the construction work.

We gained funding for this project from multiple different sources, including the City of Nebraska City, the Morton-James Public Library Building Fund, the Vantine James Endowment, the Kleineweber Endowment, grants from the Steinhart and Nelson families, and other donations.

The project should be completed by the end of July. We’re so excited to offer this space for the community to enjoy! What kind of outdoor programming do you think we could host out there?
