TODAY (9/30) No-cost, walk-in flu vaccine clinic from 1-3 PM at the Acushnet Council on Aging and Senior Community Center. Adults 18+ are welcome to stop by for a flu shot. If you have a health insurance card, please bring it with you, but nobody will be turned away due to lack of insurance. Need not be an Acushnet resident to attend, all are welcome.

Car crashes are a leading cause of death in children 0-14 years old. Car seats save lives, but only if they are installed correctly.

The New Bedford Health Department offers free car seat safety checks by nationally certified car seat technicians. This service is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Cape Verdean Creole, with additional languages available via translation service.

Showing support can look like offering encouragement, lending a hand, asking the caregiver what they need, or simply listening.
