Here are some ideas for how to express love for each language.
Physical Touch: Sitting by each other on the couch and reading or watching a show, doing a spa night, give pats on the back, high fives, and hugs, create a family handshake.
Words of Affirmation: Saying "I love to watch you...(play, draw, sing, help), affirming efforts and achievements, writing encouraging notes, say nice things about your child to others in front of them.
Quality Time: Be fully present while they talk about their day, take them on errand runs with you, go for a walk together, play a game together, keep a journal together.
Gift Giving: Give a gift that meets their specific interests, create a photo album for a gift, gift a book that you can read together, gift your child with a fun experience, create a gift treasure hunt.
Acts of Service: Make them their favorite meal, doing one of their typical chores, organizing or cleaning their closet, doing homework together, do a random act of kindness with your child.
