Last week, Executive Director JD Longo presented a $15,000 check to Cut Creations Barber Lounge via the Citywide Development Corporation ‘s microgrant program.

Owner Robert Ratkovich and his team have invested in new professional equipment, signage and graphics, website and marketing updates, and advertising in cooperation with CDCNC.

Supporting local entrepreneurs who are already putting skin in the game and building something lasting in our city is what we are all about!

Instead of waiting for invitations to a seat at the table , New Castle’s Citywide Development Corporation is building the table and inviting the seats.

This week, the CDCNC’s Executive Director Jondavid “JD” Longo hosted senior U.S. Department of Energy leadership for a high-level roundtable on the Future of American Energy Dominance , right here in New Castle.

We brought together Associate Deputy Secretary Alex Fitzsimmons and Assistant Secretary Audrey Robertson from U.S. Department of Energy , both of NeCa’s legislators along with their Senate and House colleagues representing districts from Darlington to Drakes Mills to DuBois, and local government and business leaders to discuss real opportunities: infrastructure investment, industrial site redevelopment, critical minerals, permitting reform, grant and loan access for local businesses, and positioning our region for the next wave of advanced manufacturing and energy projects.

We’re creating direct relationships that open doors for public funding, private investment, and the kind of projects that create long-term jobs and tax bases.

New Castle has the workforce, the industrial assets, and the potential. We’re making sure it also has the connections and voice.

GNC Community Federal Credit Union is proud to be a recipient of a grant funded through the New Castle Citywide Development Corporation (CDC) Enhanced Downtown Facade Improvement Program.

The funding paid for repairs and improvements to the doors and windows at GNC’s downtown New Castle location. It’s an investment that will enhance the appearance of the building while helping preserve an important part of the downtown community.

GNC would like to thank City Glass for their excellent craftsmanship for the replacement doors and windows throughout the building.

As a credit union committed to the people and communities we serve, GNC is excited to invest in the future of downtown New Castle. Improvements like these not only strengthen our own location, but contribute to a more vibrant, welcoming downtown for everyone.

We’re grateful for this grant and thank you to the New Castle Citywide Development Corporation!

Congratulations to GNC Community Federal Credit Union on receiving a $10,000 facade grant award from Citywide Development Corporation.

These funds were used to hire local contractors like City Glass to beautify and update their storefront.
