The event honored the traditions and heritage of India through song, dance and a brilliant fashion show!

Sheriff's Message "ICE"

As your sheriff, I want to reaffirm my commitment to maintaining law and order while treating every member of our community with fairness, dignity and respect.

When it comes to matters of immigration enforcement, our focus remains on upholding the law within the boundaries of our authority, ensuring that our actions align with both state and federal guidelines. We will continue to prioritize public safety for all residents and address issues that threaten the well-being of our community.

At the same time, we recognize that trust and cooperation between law enforcement and the people we serve are vital. Our deputies are dedicated to protecting everyone who calls this county home, regardless of background, and to working with community members to ensure that our neighborhoods remain safe, strong and united.

Together we will continue to uphold justice while standing with the community we proudly serve.

On January 10th, the Kansas Democratic Party gathered for the first 2nd Saturday breakfast at Sylvester Powell Community Center in Mission bringing together democrats and non-democrats alike. The event provides our elected officials and party leaders the opportunity to connect with the people of Johnson County encouraging participation in the democratic process and the societal necessity of becoming a candidate for office. Rep Sharice Davids of the 3rd congressional district reiterated the mission of protecting the people of Johnson County Kansas regardless of their racial ethnicity, political affiliation or financial status. A mission I strongly support as your Sheriff. I will continue to show up, partnering with municipal agencies instilling leadership and professionalism in the JOCO Sheriff's office to protect the people and interests of our great county.

Last week's ribbon cutting celebrated the opening of the new Adult Crisis Stabilization Center at The Recovery Place in Shawnee. The Good Faith Network and community leaders stand together addressing the undeniable need for mental health support in our community.
