Please be aware that there are numerous scam text messages circulating regarding unpaid traffic tickets, tolls and CDL violations.

‼ A TEXTING SCAM is firing up again! Remember – the Iowa DOT does not send out fee collection reminders via text, and will never text customers asking for private or financial information. If you receive a message:

* DO NOT click on any links or provide personal or credit card information.
* Report and delete unwanted text messages. Use your phone’s “report junk” option to report unwanted texts to your messaging app or forward them to 7726 (SPAM).

Effective October 22, 2025, Iowa no longer accepts paper copies of DOT physicals. They are submitted electronically by the licensed medical provider.
