The redevelopment of New Haven's former Coliseum will be an iconic and vibrant mixed-use urban village that embodies the principles of New Urbanist Smart Growth and placemaking. As a human-scale, transit-oriented development and community gathering spot, the project will be a catalyst for future redevelopment in New Haven and a model for creating thriving mixed-use neighborhoods in greater Connect

icut. The project's master developer, LiveWorkLearnPlay (www.lwlp.com), is dedicated to locking arms with the community to create an iconic neighborhood with and for New Haven. Furthermore, LiveWorkLearnPlay is dedicated to hiring construction workers from New Haven to make the Coliseum redevelopment a reality, in addition to populating it with many local independent, mom-and-pop businesses. Working alongside LiveWorkLearnPlay is New Haven's very own Newman Architects (www.newmanarchitects.com) who have been instrumental in the design and planning of the Coliseum redevelopment. Together with the community we will create a place where New Haven welcomes the world.
