This is going to be a long post so, Please read to the end!!!
We were unsuccessful for meeting the deadline to have the recall vote put on the November ballot however, have confirmed that we have more time to use the current wording on the petitions; to do another Board of Trustees recall, the wording is good for 180 days (ends Oct 21st).
We learned a lot during this past recall effort and are willing give it another effort however the team of about 4 people will not be enough to get the signatures needed. We were informed by the board of canvassers that we didn’t need to collect signatures on all of the board members but could choose who we wanted. We feel we will have the most success if we focus on the two trustee members with the highest vote totals. The team feels this would better serve what the residents want and make the process easier to accomplish. We want to keep the pressure on the board and give it another try! To do that and ensure our success, we NEED your HELP!!!!
We need 3,000 signatures per board member, so, if we can get 25 volunteers, that would mean each one would have to get 15 signatures a week for 8 weeks (120 total).
The current team cannot do this without your help. The Recall team will proceed based on the response from this post…. If we can achieve 25 or more, “I’M IN” responses. We will get in touch with you on the details. It is very easy, if you signed a petition, you already have the training you need!!
