Last night, our club had the privilege of welcoming Ailee Dixon to share her inspiring story and mission with our Rotary Club of New Market —and what an incredible light she is! A disability advocate and Miss Urbana Volunteer, Ailee has turned extraordinary challenges in her own life into a purpose: challenging assumptions about disability and advocating for greater awareness, accessibility and inclusion. Ailee pasdionately proclaimed that blindness is not her limitation—other people’s assumptions are.
Our club is grateful to bring diverse guest speaker, like Ailee, into our room. As our President, KC Ryerson shared, "Ailee, you are truly a gift—and you definitely made my world a little brighter last night. Keep shining! 🌟

The Rotary Club of New Market was happy to support the New Market District Volunteer Fire Company Big Cash Bash! 🚒
It was wonderful to see a sold-out event supporting our local volunteer Fire, Rescue and EMS services—and to run into others there supporting our community. Congratulations to our fire company and everyone who worked so hard to make the Cash Bash such an incredible success!

Last night, we recognized Student Peace Awards 2026 - Frederick County recipient, Jeremiah Nixon, a member of the Linganore High School Class of 2026. Jeremiah has demonstrated leadership, humility, and a strong commitment to supporting others in his school community.
