NMPD Dispatcher Rick Estep put this video together in 2014 for Chief Cecil when he was up for re-election. You will see comments “This is Our Town” and back in 2014 tshirts were made in support of re-electing Chief Cecil with Team Cecil This is Our Town on them. This is where those stemmed from.
Rick was an amazing dispatcher and friend who is terribly missed not only by NMPD but many friends, family and our entire community! Rick did a lot for our police dept and our community always there to help!

Tomorrow is Election Day and in memory of Rick and reminding everyone to get out and vote, because YOUR vote does matter, we are resharing this video!

Never too busy to mentor to our young ones. Chief Cecil took time to have breakfast with these two twins, Braycen & Rylan who one day want to be police officers. They wanted to go to Bob Evans and have piggy pancakes with Tim.

Dear Fellow Voters,
It has been an honor to serve this great city as your Chief of Police for the past 19 years. Many great changes have been made to our police department over these 19 years under my direction as Chief of Police. With your vote and continued support, I will continue implementing more positive changes.
Since becoming Chief I have created a great working relationship with surrounding departments for my officers. Also under my leadership and with the exceptional work of my officers, in 2021, New Martinsville was ranked the #1 safest city in WV. NMPD has also received the AAA Highway Safety Platinum Award for 12 years in a row.
Unfortunately we still have our problems and are still battling the war on drugs. If re-elected I will continue to show the dedication, leadership and compassion that it takes to keep fighting this war and to keep updating our dept with new updated training and equipment as it becomes available.
I believe I am still the right man to be serving this great city as the Chief of Police. I am a man with strong moral principles, honest, sincere and truthful and a man with compassion, integrity and respect. I took my Oath of Office with honor and I will never betray my badge, my integrity, my character or the public’s trust. This is my home town that I was born and raised in and chose to continue to live in and raise my own family in.
It is a great honor to serve and protect my hometown. I feel I am still the right man for the position of New Martinsville’s Chief of Police and humbly ask for your vote on May 10, 2022.

I am officially on the ballot to run again in the 2022 May election for the position of Chief of Police for the City of New Martinsville. Sign ups to be on the ballot closed at noon today.

I am currently on my 19th year serving this great city that I was born and raised in. I hope that my honesty, integrity, dedication and loyalty to this city has earned me your continued votes.
It has been an honor to serve and protect the town that I grew up in.
I would greatly appreciate your vote so that I may continue to serve and protect our wonderful community. Do not take for granted that a candidate you support will win, please everyone make sure you get out and vote in the upcoming May election.
