Port Sulphur Vol. Fire Department Fire District 3 in Plaquemines Parish. We proudly serve the people of the Myrtle Grove, Port Sulphur, and Empire.

We have 3 fire station throughout our district: Myrtle Grove station, Port Sulphur Central station, and O'Brien station.

Tonight, May 12, 2026, a collaborative training exercise took place, where members from PSVFD, BVFD, BVVFD, and PPFD participated in the flashover trailer training facilitated by FETA. The training was highly effective. We acknowledge the dedication of the FETA instructors who made this important training possible. The PSVFD members who attended were Chief Daniel Ellard, Assistant Chief Adonis Merrick, Firefighter Isaiah Moody, and Operator Tyler Mason.

Livingston Parish Fire Protection District 2. Springfield Fire/Rescue. LA
On April 20th Firefighter Terrebonne stopped at the roadside to provide assistance at the scene of a vehicle crash. As he worked on the scene, he was struck by another vehicle that entered the crash scene. Firefighter Terrebonne was flown to a local hospital by air ambulance, stabilized, and then taken to a regional trauma facility. He did not recover and was pronounced dead on April 21st at 1230hrs.

Please keep sharing, we need everyone to come out. Come out and enjoy some good ol crawfish and music with us. PSVFD will have a booth serving up some hamburgers, fries and hotdogs. April 9th,2026. Members with PSVFD and PPFD participated in Thursday training session, which consisted on NFPA 1410 Evolution Summary-Engine Drills. Participants did Evolution 1 Type Handline, Forward lay using one engine and one supply line. 1 attack, 1 backup. Forward 300’ from hydrant , 300 gpm.
