RWL’s August General Meeting took place at the Four Columns. Members and guests received a great deal of information from three speakers: Gretna Chief of Police Brett Lawson gave an overview of the Gretna Police Department and Sgt. Joe Elfer spoke on the 911 system. Plaquemines Former Justice of the Peace, Benny Rousselle gave an in depth view of exactly what a JOP does on a daily basis. He ended by saying he hopes someone good runs for the next JOP for Plaquemines Ward 6.
Several Jefferson Parish Candidates for Judgeships were introduced at the meeting and will be invited back to speak at RWL’s October Meeting.
