JEDCO was proud to support the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana (HCCL)'s 2026 Global Business Conference & Trade Show, an event celebrating the Hispanic history and influence that have helped shape our regional economy while creating new opportunities for businesses and global leaders to connect, collaborate and grow.

As a presenting sponsor of the global conference, our team was excited to be part of an event that brought together businesses, partners and leaders from across the region and beyond. We were also very excited to feature the MORE HERE branding on a giant historic interactive map that was displayed across the region last week.

ICYMI: A major investment is coming to Jefferson Parish’s West Bank!

Boomtown Casino is moving ashore and getting a new name! The nearly $200 million project will transform the longtime riverboat casino into Hollywood Casino New Orleans, a new landside entertainment destination.

This project represents an important anchor for the West Bank, retaining hundreds of jobs, driving new investment and adding to the growing momentum we’re seeing across Jefferson Parish.

Jefferson Parish is setting the standard for how communities can help homeowners strengthen their homes and navigate Louisiana’s insurance challenges. 🏠

The award-winning RELIF Program provides additional gap funding to help more homeowners take advantage of the Louisiana Fortify Homes Program, increasing participation from 55% to 86% in Jefferson Parish.

Just last week, Louisiana Department of Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple recognized Jennifer Van Vrancken, Councilwoman with the Leadership in Resilience Award for her work in spearheading the RELIF Program! 🎉

As communities across Louisiana consider ways to build greater resilience, Jefferson Parish is leading by example, strengthening homes, supporting affordability, and helping create the stability our residents and economy need to thrive!

When JEDCO began working with Sweet Generations Bakery owner Shay Guilbeau, our team helped identify new opportunities to showcase her business and unique Cake Bar concept. One introduction recently landed Shay at a national catering industry event, where her desserts took second place in the competition! 👏
