You guys get ready!!! Our own local bookstore is 5 days from opening!!

We are 5 days away!! How is that even possible?

One second, I’m out on a morning date with Ashley, the next we are standing in front of a building that, little did we know, would soon be ours. From what we thought would be a distant dream, quickly became a reality when we least expected it. We weren’t prepared in that moment to make this drastic decision in our lives, but we knew we couldn’t let this pass us by.

Starting a business is terrifying, no matter how big or small. It’s expensive, especially in today’s economy. It’s a huge leap toward the unknown and pouring your heart and soul into something with absolutely zero guarantee of success. If I’ve learned anything during my time here on this floating rock, it’s that failure only comes when we stop trying. When we stop showing up for ourselves and what makes us happy. When we stop fighting for the things we believe in.

In such a short time since announcing our store, we’ve grown over 4,000 new friends here and have just been absolutely engulfed with love and support from our family and friends. We don’t take that for granted and will never be able to explain just how much it means to us to be seen and encouraged to chase our dreams. Thank you for being here.

🌸📚 Spring Restock at Riverview Bluffs LFL 📚🌸

I stopped down at the library and gave it a full refresh—completely stocked and stuffed with something for everyone!

Kids’ books ✔️
Middle grade ✔️
Adult reads ✔️
Stickers, bracelets, bookmarks, pencils ✔️

We are loaded up and ready for visitors 💛

That said… I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little disheartened. Someone took my bookmark holder—the one that was absolutely perfect and even labeled “Property of Riverview Bluffs.” It’s tough putting so much love into this space and seeing things walk away.

But despite that, we keep going 💪✨ because this little library is about community, kindness, and access to stories for everyone.

On a brighter note, we added a super cute Mr. Rogers flag 🏡 and Cole created a fairy garden down there 🧚‍♀️🌿 (fingers crossed it sticks around 🤞).

Good morning, friends ☀️📚

There’s something about a bright, sunny morning that just feels like a fresh start and today is too beautiful not to share with a good book!

I have to admit—I was shocked when I opened the door this morning and found the library completely empty 😅 Whether that means lots of readers stopped by or one big clean sweep, I’m choosing to believe it’s because our community is loving their books 💛

No worries though… she’s all stocked up again and ready for you! 📖✨

Restocked with Love (and a Little Help 💕📚)

Spring has officially sprung around here 🌷☀️ The weather is finally warming up, and the daffodils and tulips are in full bloom—such a beautiful reset after winter.

The library took a little pause while work had my full attention, but getting down there to restock it today was at the very top of my list 📚💛 There’s nothing better than filling it back up and knowing it’s ready for the community again.

This weekend, I have the joy of spending time with my niece, and she helped pick out all the stickers, bookmarks, and goodies—so there are some extra fun surprises waiting for you! 🎀✨

✨ Happy New Year, friends! ✨

I was a little nervous heading down to the library today — I was afraid it might feel empty and sad after the holidays… but to my surprise, it was actually pretty full and even had some new books waiting inside. 🥹📚

It’s not quite time for Valentine’s reads yet, so I added a little mix of stories I thought everyone might enjoy. 💕📖 A huge THANK YOU to the friends who left books on my porch — they were so needed and helped me restock today more than you know. 🙏

I hope everyone is settling back into reality gently and having a good first week of the year. As always, let me know if you have any requests! 🤍

Happy Sunday, friends! 💛 I can’t believe we’re just days away from 2026. I don’t know about you, but I’m more than ready to walk into a fresh, new year. One of the things that has brought me so much joy through it all is our Little Free Library and getting to share the love of books with this community.

As we wrap up the holidays and make room for new toys, gifts, and goodies, I wanted to mention — if you have gently-used books looking for a new home, especially children’s books, we would love them! The kids’ section tends to fly off the shelves, and I always have a hard time keeping it fully stocked. I’m also happy to trade adult books for kids’ books if that’s something you’d like to do.

I’m hoping to head down today to restock before it gets too cold, and as always, I’ll share a little video for anyone who wants to follow along.

As we step into the new year, here’s to working on new goals — one page, one story, one book at a time. 📚✨ If you have suggestions, ideas, or book requests for the library, please feel free to leave them in the comments below!
