Honoring, remembering, and coming together 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who joined us Thursday at the ReStore for our Memorial Day Celebration as we paused to honor and remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Mayor Diezel Depew, for sharing thoughtful remarks and helping us reflect on the meaning behind this important day.

We were grateful to gather with our community, hear from local veterans, and reflect on the meaning behind this important day.

Big things are taking shape! 🙌

Last week, we poured the slab for our next home! An exciting milestone as we continue building strength, stability, and self-reliance for local families.

This home will be constructed using ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) blocks, a method our team recently had the opportunity to train on. We’re always looking for ways to learn and explore building techniques that can enhance the homes we provide.

We’re proud of the progress and can’t wait to see this home come to life! 🏡💙

A huge thank you to Buddy from Buddy Davenport State Farm Insurance Agent for their generous $8,100 donation to Southeast Volusia Habitat for Humanity!

This contribution will help support infrastructure costs for our next home build-bringing us one step closer to providing a safe, affordable home for a local family. 🏡

Buddy’s support goes even further! Earlier this year, he also donated a lot that will soon become the site of a future Habitat home.

Another Dream Becomes Reality ✨

On Wednesday, we had the absolute honor of celebrating a very special home dedication with one of our newest homeowners, the McMorrow family. 🏡❤️

Moments like these are what it’s all about—seeing the joy, pride, and excitement as a family receives the keys to a place they can finally call home.

This wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, donors, and community partners who continue to show up and make affordable housing a reality right here in Southeast Volusia.

Today was a beautiful day to celebrate 🌎💚

We were honored to host our Earth Day Tree Planting Ceremony at one of our future Habitat homes — a meaningful step in building not just houses, but stronger, more sustainable communities.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Carol Lawless Court, President of the AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach Foundation Board, for sharing inspiring words about the importance of community and environmental stewardship.

We were also grateful to have local leaders join us, including Fred Cleveland, Mayor of New Smyrna Beach, City of Edgewater Vice Mayor Charlotte Hope, and Jessie Thompson, School Board Member District 3, Volusia County Schools, along with members of the AdventHealth NSB Foundation Board, our Habitat board, volunteers, and staff.

đź’š Today was also extra special as we had the opportunity to recognize two incredible volunteers, Peggy and Brian Mullins.
Though their official recognition was planned for next week’s home dedication, we were honored to celebrate them today before they head north. Their dedication, time, and heart on our build sites truly embody the spirit of Habitat.

Moments like this remind us what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
