Let's be honest. A lot of times in the church world fashion is surrounded by a lot of negativity. Unfortunately a lot of well-meaning people think that if you dress nice, are up on the late

st trends, or have a passion for makup artistry, it means you're insecure. The assumption is made that because you wear makeup, you hate your face, or because you wear great clothes, you hate your body. Well, I completely disagree. Yes, there are some people that use fashion in this manner, but I believe that Fashion is art. God is an artist and He created all of us in His image, as artists. Fashion just another creative way to express the beauty God has given you. Not a way to hide it. Modesty
Here at GEM we focus on modesty because we believe that each woman is to be valued high among diamonds, pearls, and gold. Everything that God made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected. Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell. Where do you find gold? Way down and in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock. You’ve got to work hard to get them.Your body is sacred. You’re far more precious than diamonds and pearls. You are a son/daughter of the King. Empowerment
We want to empower and encourage YOU! We want you to discover the artist that God has placed within you. We want to help you unleash your creativity. If it's fashion, that's great, if it's not, that's great too! GEM is so much more than fashion, it's a creativity movement. There's some exciting things on the horizon for GEM and I'm very excited to begin to collaborate with some very talented artists. If you're a young creative that's looking to be inspired, challenged, mentored, and encouraged, OR if you have ideas but want help refining them and bringing them to life. Founded by Emma Wynnae Keniston in 2013 "After a sudden and difficult move back home I was in a tough phase of transition. Months of struggling to discover purpose went by. Every day I was unsure of where to go, what to do, and how I was going to impact this world for Jesus. After attending a "creative meeting" at my local church I felt more frustrated than ever. I knew God had given me so many passions and talents and I just wasn't sure how I would be able to use them and turn them into something tangible. After much prayer and many conversations with close friends GEM Ministries was born."
