⚡ Outage Update

Crews are responding to a downed wire in the Saxon Drive area that is impacting electric service to nearby customers.

Crews are working to safely make repairs and restore power as quickly as possible. Estimated restoration time is approximately one hour.

Just because Hurricane Season is here doesn't mean we stop preparing for it. Our electric crews take advantage of every sunny day to make system improvements. They are in the Silver Sands area now and making great progress upgrading the service line.

To safeguard reliability and prevent unplanned outages, NSBU replaced the backup transformer at the Schoolway Substation this week. This proactive response ensures our system stays strong, stable, and ready to serve the community.

NSBU received a Florida Public Power Reliability Award at Florida Municipal Power Agency’s Board of Directors meeting today. The awards recognize the state’s municipal electric utilities’ achievements in reliability. NSBU received the Duration Award in the large category, recognizing the utility for having an annual outage duration reduction of 10% or more.
