Celebrating community, culture, and connection at the Juneteenth celebration in Columbus Park in Binghamton, NY!!!

Sgt. Chergosky and Officer Tallon proudly represented the NYS Courts while engaging with families and community members during the kid-friendly event. From our prize wheel to outdoor Jenga and Connect Four, it was a great day filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful interaction with the youth in our community.

One year ago, NYS Courts Explorer Post 8500 attended Nationals and brought home 1 trophy.

🥉3rd Place - Bomb Threat
🥉3rd Place - Crime Scene Investigation

This achievement did not happen overnight. These Explorers dedicated themselves to weeks of intense training, committing three evenings a week to sharpen their skills, build teamwork, and prepare for competition against Explorer Poste from across the country.

Their hard work, discipline, and determination paid off in a major way, and we could not be prouder of what they accomplished during only their second year attending Nassau’s Law Enforcement National Competition.

Thank you to Chief Magliano for his continued support and belief in this program. Thank you as well to our dedicated advisors who continue to mentor, guide, and invest in these future leaders every step of the way.

Explorer Post 8500 continues to grow stronger, and this is only the beginning. 💙

NYS Courts Explorer Post 8500 had the incredible opportunity to train with our Mobile Security Patrol (MSP). Our explorers pushed their skills, learned from MSP’s outstanding instructors, and walked away more motivated than ever. Proud of their dedication and excited for what’s to come! NYS Courts Explorer Post 8500 had the honor of marching with the NYS Courts Asian Jade Society during the 28th Annual NYC Lunar New Year Parade on March 1st.

It was an incredible experience celebrating culture, community, and tradition alongside so many amazing participants and spectators. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a vibrant event and proud to support and celebrate the Lunar New Year with the NYC community.
